If only I had known earlier that practicing cello would lead me to meet these three beggars, I certainly would not have signed up. And for good reasons, as so much life supply were lost starring too long at the infinity of parallel realities by ingesting astonishing and/or stunning goods, often on coercion or under threats  ...
One didn't have to wait much to witness the results as few months later I finally lost the use of the bow and sank into the unattractive world of pseudo-bass players... You know, those whom are chosen last by groupies in case of withdrawal from the rest of the group. Ugly business I'm telling you...

Jonas Thin - Bagpipes, Irish whistles
I started music very young, and I never really let go of it since. Especially with bagpipes, that literarily got under my skin, I wanted to get involved in bands. And you see, what really gets me going is to do things differently. Folklore music or something more experimental, whatever ! As long as I can play some bagpipe. Whereas I practiced traditional music, dance happened to come along, together with and thanks to Pierre . So it was with pleasure that I accepted when he offered me to join POKE. There it is ! Some powerful music with crazy buddies, It is all simple and so good !

Sylvain Letourneau - Guitare
It was during a trip on an electric aircraft over the Andes, determined to save an endangered species of frilled marmot. I received a text message from a certain Pierre chesneau, a former diva from a Saudi brothel  whose great deeds were insider secrets. Avoiding with one hand a Soviet missile, repelling the advances of my co-pilot with the other one, I read the message, filled with fear : POKE, a dance group was born and all demanded my participation. When I regained my senses it was too late and my plane was rushing against the mountain. But this was nothing compared to what would be engendered by my answer ... lost at the bottom of a glacier, surrounded by a smoking wreckage and in a moment of delirium, I said : "Yes ! Count me in ! " .

Hi Everyone ! What to tell you... Me as a musician, I am the perfect example of the musically illiterate dude who learned to play in his room with cds and videos, at festivals playing in jams. How musicians like those guys agreed to make a band together with me will remain forever a mistery. But I don't complain, I don't comment and I enjoy the ride ! And what a ride it has been. We can talk about the music, about arrangements, etc...but an adventure like this one is about so much more at the end. I hope our music talks a little about all that. I think it does.
